Lakshmi Odedra is a thorough litigator who zealously represents CZR clients in obtaining civil justice. Within her first year of practicing law, she has successfully written dispositive motions, including oppositions to motions for summary judgment, attended depositions and prepared motions in limine for cases headed for trial. Lakshmi has a tremendous passion for helping her clients and advocating on their behalf.
Prior to law school, Lakshmi attended Chapman University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She studied at Oxford University in the United Kingdom, where she focused on Rhetorical Theory and Politics of South Asia. During her college years, Lakshmi also spent a semester working at the Department of Justice, Consumer Protection Branch in Washington, D.C.
While attending Chapman University, Dale E. Fowler School of Law, Lakshmi continued to work within Consumer Protection at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office before changing her horizons to international development. During her second and third year of law school, Lakshmi was a Research Fellow at GP3 Institute, a global advisory network that provides legal support to public private cooperation initiatives in Africa, Central America, Southeast Asia and the Caribbean.
Before joining Carpenter, Zuckerman & Rowley in the summer of 2017, Lakshmi worked at a prominent Orange County based plaintiffs’ personal injury and insurance bad faith law firm. She is currently a member of the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and Orange County Bar Association.
