Jonny Hornberger is a trial lawyer at Carpenter, Zuckerman & Rowley where he litigates large and complex personal injury and wrongful death cases. Since joining the firm in 2016, he has been successful in recovering millions of dollars for his clients. In 2020, Jonny was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine, a distinction awarded to less than 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state.
Jonny is known for his zealous advocacy and his commitment to fighting for his clients through every phase of the legal process. Notably, in 2019, he argued in front of the California Court of Appeals in Orange County where he was successful in overturning a defendant’s motion for summary judgment in a wrongful death case.
Prior to joining CZ&R, Jonny earned his B.A. in political science in 2010 from Loyola Marymount University. At L.M.U., he was a two-sport athlete competing in both track and field and rugby. He earned his J.D. from Southwestern Law School’s accelerated two-year program in 2016, while also being a member of the Trial Advocacy Honors Program. At Southwestern, he earned semi-finalist honors at the ABA Labor and Employment Trial Advocacy Competition and clerked at the California Court of Appeals in downtown Los Angeles.
He is an active member of the California State Bar, Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and Consumer Attorneys of California.
He currently resides in Manhattan Beach with his wife and two children.
