For the last six years, Martin J. Kanarek has been a dedicated advocate for injured victims throughout the state of California.
In just his short time with Carpenter, Zuckerman & Rowley, Martin was able to obtain a $200,000 verdict in San Bernardino County for an elderly client who had tripped and fallen in her apartment complex. The Defendant’s last offer was $15,000. Impressively, Martin’s verdict came just a week after second chairing a trial with Michael Kopple that resulted in a 1.8 million dollar verdict in Los Angeles County.
Outside of the courtroom, Martin is dedicated to helping the citizens of Los Angeles. Martin has proudly served as a volunteer at the Domestic Violence Project, where he helped Spanish speaking victims of domestic violence obtain temporary restraining orders. Martin is also a graduate of the Los Angeles County Trial Advocacy Project (TAP), which allowed him to prosecute several criminal cases while volunteering for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office. As a member of the Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles, Martin has also volunteered at the Los Angeles Food Bank and the Heal the Bay Project.
In 2016 Martin was named a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in the area of personal injury litigation. Rising Star attorneys represent the Top 2.5% of their profession in Southern California for lawyers 40 years old and younger.
Martin graduated from the University of Kansas in 2004 and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law in 2007.
