Supporting Betsy Butler for California Legislature Re-Election

Assembly member Betsy Butler was elected to the California Legislature’s 53rd Assembly District, covering San Diego County, in 2011 and spent her time in office pursuing safety for all California consumers. Now, she is seeking re-election in the new 50th Assembly District for northern San Diego County and the legal team of Carpenter, Zuckerman & Rowley wishes to express its support for her campaign.California Legislature’s 50th Assembly District

During her 16 months in office, Butler authored the Toxin-Free Infants and Toddler Act, which banned the use of Bisphenol-A (BPA) in baby bottles and sippy cups and was signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown in October 2011. Additionally, several other bills created by Butler that protected seniors from identity theft, gave provisions to homeowners, and expanded the electric vehicle infrastructure were signed into law.

With only a year and a half in office, Assemblymember Butler has already made a name for herself in protecting the rights of consumers, workers, and other underrepresented groups in California. Currently, Butler is seeking to protect the rights of workers with the Farm Worker Safety Act of 2012, which would ensure necessities for farm workers. Through continued provisions for not just San Diego, but the state as a whole, Assemblymember Butler is seeking a better California for all citizens.
