Ryne was born in Birmingham, Alabama and along with his passion for the Crimson Tide; he was instilled with Southern values for humility, integrity and respect towards his fellow man. Ryne earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and graduated from Cumberland School of Law.
Prior to Law School, Ryne was a commended deputy sheriff for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department in Birmingham, Alabama. In addition, he was assigned to the department’s Civil Disturbance (Tactical) Detail for two (2) years and received training by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). After seeing countless people railroaded by the criminal justice system, Ryne decided to serve his community on the other end of the legal spectrum and became a criminal defense attorney. Ryne also worked with a Fortune 500 company in its Government Contract Compliance Division. Ryne later relocated to California and joined a major insurance defense firm where he became knowledgeable in how the insurance companies truly operated and the formulas that insurance adjusters used to evaluate injured people’s claims.
After several years representing insurance companies and public entities, Ryne switched sides, and joined Carpenter, Zuckerman & Rowley, where he was offered the opportunity to fight for the underdog. He has brought with him all the strategies and tactics utilized by the defense, and is undertaking a Plaintiff practice that emphasizes full and just representation of the injured individual. Ryne is an enduring advocate for his clients and is driven by a sense of justice over insurance company’s sole motivation; pleasing its stockholders.
Ryne is licensed to practice before all of the Courts in The State of California as well as The United States District Court, Central District of California. He is also a member in good standing with The Alabama State Bar.
