Brian attributes his love and passion for the courtroom to his family roots in the legal profession, which go back for generations. His father and mother, ran a thriving law practice in the heart of Koreatown where they represented immigrants who came to this country seeking a better life and the American Dream. During his childhood, Brian was exposed to people from all walks of life with their own unique story, and the need for someone to champion their cause. This exposure gave him the passion and desire to help people through the law.
Brian began his career as a civil defense attorney where he successfully defended a Fortune 50 Company and major insurance companies. Even though he was able to quickly rise through the ranks and become a top junior level associate, he found little satisfaction in defending entities that refused to take responsibility for and/or compensate for real injuries. After four years of defense work, he decided to shift his practice and return to his roots by standing up for the rights and delivering justice for people in need. Brian’s unique defense background enables him to deal with large corporate entities and big insurance companies and to navigate through the smoke and mirrors of insurance company bureaucracy.
Brian attended undergraduate studies at Loyola Marymount University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree. Following college, he obtained his law degree from Loyola Law School. He is admitted to practice law before the California State courts, as well as the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California.
